The new widened entrance path and generous level ‘arrival space’ around the front door.
New Town House - Front Garden
This small front garden was n’t working for the client – the gap in the boundary wall and ramp were too narrow making access to the house awkward. Visually the garden lacked any interest.
The focus of the new design was to create a welcoming and accessible route to the front door with plenty of space for pushchairs, shopping bags etc. The boundary wall was increased in height and finished with stone flag cope for a clean, low maintenance solution. The same flags, Marshall’s ‘Saxon’ which give a light, non-slip finish, were used to form a levelled courtyard space.
