Elegant front garden, Ilkley.
The client wanted to form a new and private seating area in the small front garden of their Victorian end terraced home to enjoy the morning sun.
The original Victorian railings had been long removed. A new timber trellis was added to the stone wall to give height, screening and support for plants. Further screening was given by the addition of an evergreen hedge Osmanthus x Burkwoodii which has scented flowers.
The new trellis painted in Farrow and Ball slipper satin to match the house windows. Rosa Claire Austin and honeysuckle thread through the trellis to add screening and scent.
